Why am I posting this on an animation blog? Because this is also a reminder to watch the Olympics with a sketchbook in hand. The Olympics is this wonderful pot of human anatomy and motion reference. Not only is it the accumlation of several different nationalities but different body types. So when you watch this year, pencil in hand, pay attention to different proportions and ask yourself why those shapes are shaped the way they are. Also look at the way different types of athletes and country members behavior, walk, etc.
